Studio location

Concept

InkWell currently stores one primary public location per studio.

That location includes your address details and appears on your public page so clients know where they are booking.

If you work across guest spots or temporary locations, use the address that matches the booking flow you are actively promoting. Broader multi-location operations are not the live default yet.

Why it matters

Accurate location details reduce "where are you?" messages and late arrivals.

  • Clients can find your studio easily before their appointment.
  • Your public page shows your location clearly.

Poor location data usually shows up as late clients, missed appointments, and avoidable messages.

How to configure it

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Settings.
  2. Add your address details in the Location section:
    • Address line 1
    • Address line 2 (optional)
    • City
    • Region
    • Postcode
  3. Save, then check your public page to confirm the details display correctly.
  4. If you are working temporarily from a guest spot, update the location to match the booking link you are sharing publicly.

How to verify it worked

  • Your studio location appears correctly on your public page.
  • City and postcode match the real working location.
  • A first-time client could understand where the appointment is taking place.

Before going live, check the location from a client's perspective on mobile to confirm it is easy to follow.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving the address incomplete or using a vague description.
  • Forgetting to update location details after moving studio.
  • Not checking how the location appears on the public page.
  • Treating guest spots or multiple locations as if they are permanently live at the same time.
