Services

Concept

Services are the offerings clients browse and book from on your public studio page.

You can create multiple services for different types of work — for example a small custom piece, a full-day sleeve session, a consultation, or a touch-up.

In InkWell, each service defines what clients see when browsing your profile. You can set one service as your default or featured offering.

Why it matters

Good service structure improves both client confidence and booking clarity.

  • Clients decide faster when services are clearly described with pricing.
  • You spend less time explaining what you offer in DMs.
  • Booking requests arrive with the right context for quoting.
  • Your public page looks professional and well-organised.

If services are unclear or missing key details, clients are less likely to submit a booking request.

How to configure it

  1. Go to Dashboard -> Services and select Add service.
  2. Give the service a clear title clients will understand.
  3. Add a description explaining what's included.
  4. Set pricing — either a fixed price or a starting-from range.
  5. Set the typical appointment duration.
  6. Set a deposit amount for the service.
  7. Keep your initial service list focused, then expand once you're comfortable.
  8. Reorder services to control how they appear on your public page.

A service without pricing or a description is not ready for your public page.

How to verify it worked

  • The service appears on your public studio page with correct details.
  • Clients can select the service when submitting a booking request.
  • Pricing and deposit amounts display correctly.
  • Duration is reflected in your availability slots.

For the next setup step, continue with Service details and options, then Booking settings.

Common mistakes

  • Creating too many services before running one successful booking flow.
  • Leaving a service without pricing or descriptions.
  • Using vague service names that don't help clients understand what they're booking.
  • Making large changes to live services without checking your public page.
  • Not setting deposit amounts.
