First booking checklist

Use this checklist before accepting your first booking through InkWell.

Before you go live

  • Confirm Stripe is connected and verification status is complete.
  • Publish your studio page with services and availability set.
  • Check service descriptions, pricing, and deposit amounts.
  • Submit a test booking request from a phone and confirm it appears in your dashboard.

When bookings arrive

  1. Review each booking request promptly.
  2. Send a quote with a deposit amount when you're ready to confirm.
  3. Once the client pays the deposit, the appointment is confirmed.
  4. Check your schedule view to confirm the appointment appears correctly.

After your first week

  • Review any cancelled or refunded bookings and add brief internal notes.
  • Export booking totals and compare with Stripe settlement records.
  • Capture any friction points to improve your service descriptions or availability settings.
