Your subscription and Stripe fees
You pay one monthly subscription based on your active artists. InkWell takes no commission on deposits, full payments, balances or merchandise. Taking more payments doesn't change your subscription.
Stripe processing fees apply separately when you take online payments.
A £100 payment, explained
For an online payment in pounds sterling using a standard UK card, Stripe's published standard rate is 1.5% + 20p. On a £100 payment, that is £1.70 in Stripe processing fees.

Stripe lists 2.8% + 20p for premium UK cards. Other cards, currency conversion and additional Stripe services can cost more. Your Stripe agreement determines the fees you pay; your InkWell monthly subscription is separate from this payment example.

Choosing and managing your plan
Do I pay to create an account?
No. Create your account and get your studio ready without a card. Have a look at the plans before you subscribe; you'll pay monthly when you choose one.
What do I need before going live?
Build and preview your page before business verification. When you're ready to go live, save your legal seller details and complete Stripe business verification and any InkWell seller review before publishing. Request deposits, full payments or remaining balances when online payments are enabled for your studio and your Stripe account is ready. If payment requests are switched off, keep your existing payment arrangements.
Which plan should I choose?
Solo: one active artist. Small Studio: up to five. Studio: up to ten. Every plan includes every feature and non-artist staff at one location. Contact us for a larger team.
Which artists count?
Count your active artist profiles, including owners who tattoo, guests and apprentices. Hidden profiles still count. Non-artist staff are included. Archive an artist to keep their history and free a place. You can bring them back when there's room on your plan.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Open Settings → Plan & billing in Studio. Your billing portal shows when cancellation takes effect, and the Studio Terms explain charges and refunds.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Open Settings → Plan & billing and choose another plan to review. Make sure it has room for your active artists and check the total before confirming.
